Data Deletion Instructions

How to request deletion of your personal data from Ele8, operated by Veltrix Solutions LLP.

1. Your Right to Deletion

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023, you have the right to request deletion (erasure) of your personal data held on the Ele8 platform, subject to legal retention obligations. This page explains exactly how to exercise that right.

2. If You Are a PG Owner (Account Holder)

  1. Send an email to support@ele8.in from your registered email address.
  2. Use the subject line “Data Deletion Request”.
  3. Mention your registered phone number so we can verify account ownership.

We will verify your identity, confirm the request, and delete your account and associated personal data. Your data is anonymised within 30 days of account deletion.

3. If You Are a Tenant

Your data is held on behalf of your PG operator, who is the Data Fiduciary under DPDP Act 2023. To request deletion:

  1. Log in to the tenant portal (the link shared by your PG).
  2. Go to Profile → Data Rights.
  3. Choose “Delete my data” and submit the request.

Your request is forwarded to your PG operator, who is required to respond within 30 days. If your request is not resolved, contact us directly at support@ele8.in and we will assist.

4. What Gets Deleted

  • Your profile and contact details (name, phone, email, address)
  • Identity documents uploaded to the platform
  • Complaint history, notices and portal activity linked to you
  • Notification and messaging preferences

5. What We May Retain (and Why)

Some records must be kept for a limited period even after deletion, as permitted by law:

  • Billing and payment records — retained for 7 years as required under the Income Tax Act, 1961 and GST law
  • Audit and security logs — retained for a minimum of 3 years as required under IT Rules 2011
  • Legal compliance records — retained where a legal obligation or dispute requires it

Retained records are kept only as long as legally necessary and are not used for any other purpose.

6. Timeline and Confirmation

Verified requests are completed within 30 days, and deleted account data is anonymised within 30 days of deletion. You will receive a confirmation email once complete.
