Refund Policy

Our refund policy is transparent and fair. Please read it before subscribing to a paid plan.

1. Free Trial

All new Ele8 accounts receive a 30-day free trial on the Growth plan. No credit card is required. You will never be automatically charged — a paid subscription begins only when you explicitly choose a plan and complete payment. No refund scenario applies to the trial period.


2. Monthly Subscriptions

Monthly plans are billed in advance at the start of each billing cycle.

  • Monthly fees are non-refundable once the billing period has started
  • You retain full access to your plan for the remainder of the paid period
  • You may cancel at any time — no further charges will occur after cancellation

3. Annual Subscriptions

  • Within the first 7 days of an annual purchase: eligible for a pro-rata refund for the unused months
  • After 7 days: annual fees are non-refundable, but you retain full access until the annual period ends
  • Cancelling an annual plan stops renewal — access continues until the end of the paid period

4. When a Full Refund Is Guaranteed

Regardless of plan type or when the charge occurred, you are entitled to a full refund if:

  • You were charged more than once for the same billing period (duplicate charge)
  • Payment was deducted but your plan was not activated or upgraded due to a technical error
  • The Service was unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours in your billing period due to our fault
  • An incorrect amount was charged due to a billing error on our part

Contact us within 14 days of the charge to claim a refund under these exceptions.


5. How to Request a Refund

Email support@ele8.in with subject “Refund Request” and include:

  • Your registered email address
  • The Razorpay Payment ID (found in Settings → Subscription → Billing History)
  • Reason for the request

We will acknowledge within 48 hours and respond with a decision within 3 business days (Monday–Friday, 10am–6pm IST). Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days via Razorpay.

Note on GST: Refunds are processed on the base subscription amount. GST refund timelines are subject to applicable GST rules.


6. Downgrades

Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not provide partial refunds for unused time on a higher plan after a downgrade. You continue to enjoy the higher plan features until the period ends.


7. Account Cancellation and Data

Cancelling your subscription moves your account to the Free plan at the end of the paid period — your data is not deleted. If you later delete your account, personal data is anonymised within 30 days. Billing records are retained for 7 years as required under Indian accounting law.


8. Grievance Redressal

If you are not satisfied with our refund decision, you may escalate to our Grievance Officer. Under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, you may also approach the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission having jurisdiction over your location.
